Wow, now I know the universe is upside down

It's been a busy few weeks. Two conference papers written, my honours presentation prepared and delivered (and well received). Still wait for work to get back to me though. Finished one course last week. Only two big projects, two exams and my honours project to go before the end of the year.
It's been an interesting time on other fronts too. Just over 24 hours ago I learnt something fairly spectacular about my brother, or slightly more correctly, his GF. I await with interest to see what happens. It is still slightly unreal.
Interesting things - lets say, events - have been happening a bit closer to home. Should I say more? Can I? Will I? (Double meanings for those questions are allowed in some situations) It has been a interesting 4 month this year, and I have a feeling it's not over yet. I wonder if anyone notices that I'm slightly more upbeat here...
