Movement of the universe

Now I am far more confused about life, the universe and everything. 10:30pm last night will be burnt into my mind for a while.
There is a part of the universe I live in, let's call it part M. This part appears to be moving at two speeds. One I find too fast to cope with. The other is slow enough to drive me insane (almost). Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that what I've just written is my perception of what's happening. And that description makes it sound worse that it might acturally be. It's just making me confused (again).
I had pondered making this a private blog entry, but when I think about it, it's kind of obvious. Well, at least I hope it's obvious. With just about everything else going my way at the moment, there had to be something to break the pattern. The question that still remains is: "Which way will this finally resolve?" Will things settle down? Will it last?
I was right, the week got stranger.
