Filtering someone's life
Posted 2004-11-02-0125
As mentioned in my first code->blog post, I now have two parallel blogs, which are automatically aggregated.
There is one little side effect I only realised after I started coding it... people could filter away part of my character - my life - just by only reading one or the other. Well... at least I hope to post a bit more... spliting it makes it easier for me to post about coding, etc, without boring all the people who don't care. I wait with baited breath to see if any more people read them though.
In other news... It seems that it is engagement season. No, I'm not engaged (you would know if I was... blog entries, change of website design, big text news items on my home page, etc). Congrats to Jen. The other couple can remain a little of a mystery (just in case you shouldn't learn about it through this).
Big Ups to Micheal JS for lending me the Wired Creative Commons CD... Wired: Rip. Sample. Mash. Share. It's neat, the music varied and interesting, and it's Free (with a capital F... some rights reserved though). So... I have a copy now, just ask. Yay for Freedom. Back to using my Free OS, Free distribution, Free text editor, Free web browser, Free email client and code some Free software (though some might argue that GPL is OSS, not Free Software, any more on the subject will be only on the coding blog).
