I think it is offical - I am not enjoying Chirstmas.
I think it is mostly about being on a strict budget, being asked to do lots and not really being able to find good gifts. I could say stuff about rampant commercialism, but I'll leave that for others to say. I quite like getting presants.
Why does it have to be once a year, why not contunious? Giving is good. Might reduce the massive increase in stress and level crossing accidents and incidents (please don't play chicken with a train, it can take over a kilometre to stop, weigh over 1000 tonnes and move at over 100km/hr).
Maybe it's just the hassle of trying to be artistic and decorate Christmas tress...
